Gold Discovered in Bandon

Gold was recently discovered under the offices of Fred & Keeli Gernandt, at David L. Davis Real Estate






Take the mine-shaft elevator down to the lower level of the gold mine. Fred & Keeli can be seen in this photo.






You are now in the mine. Walk toward the ore cart, and then turn to the right.






Notice the rich gold ore on the rock wall directly in front of you.






A crew of ten immigrants work the mine night and day. They are not allowed to go outside, and live completely underground.






This is the newest tunnel which will take you to the richest gold ore found so far. The chain is used to restrain the guard dog.






You are now standing in the richest gold deposit ever discovered in Oregon and you are also standing directly underneath the Bandon Liquor Store.






At the end of this short tunnel is the vault, where the ore is processed into gold bars.






The gold bars are neatly stacked before being transferred to the vault at Umpqua Bank.
